Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous
When you think of lifestyle, what comes to mind? For me, the first thought used to be the title of a TV series from the past called “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous” that aired from 1984 to 1995. It featured the extravagant lifestyles of wealthy entertainers, athletes and business moguls. We became privy to their personal lives and fortunes, how they lived, what they did and with whom they were in or out of relationship.
But, that was then and this is now.
Today, when I think about lifestyle, I think differently.
When I was a health and fitness professional and owned my own facility, my focus was on fitness evaluations, cardio and weight management programs and strength programs. Yet, I knew that even with the best intentions, life often gets in the way of programs and adherence issues prevailed. My clients would start out on fire, but that fire would quickly fizzle out as life happened in spite of the best intentions.
After studying and facilitating personal growth seminars and teaching people through providing them with tools to help them with lifestyle issues, I was able to see a new level of adherence to programs. It became more holistic. While including healthy physical behaviors like exercise and proper nutrition I added the dimension of teaching my clients to have action plans on how to live, organize and prioritize time using tools to help them live happier, more satisfying lives.

My skill as a life coach is about knowing the right questions to ask and having the right tools and techniques to empower you to find those answers within yourself.
The fact is that the only real expert in your life is YOU. You alone truly know who you are and what you need – and you’re the only one who can recognize what is best for you. As a coach, my expertise is in the coaching process, to help you find your own personal best.
Our choices have a profound effect on the quality of our lives, or our lifestyle. Not a day goes by that we don’t choose what we will or will not do, choices that range from the ridiculous to the sublime. Each choice weighs in the balance of our lives, whether they’ll be fulfilling or emptier, balanced or unbalanced, living effectively or not. As a life coach, I help you learn how to make choices that create the fulfilling, balanced and effective life you desire.
As a trained health and lifestyle coach, I am able to cover a number of aspects of life to help you connect your head and your heart in such a way that your desire for your dreams transforms into action for your life. My focus is habit change – helping you create lasting behaviors using tools that work in virtually every area of life, from self-care and getting your own needs met to food, nutrition and optimal health.
